DESIGN, PRINT AND MAKE

with Janette Wotherspoon

Textile artist Janette Wotherspoon is offering 3 half day workshops that will inspire your creativity and develop drawings, designs and motifs for screen printing. The motifs and designs will be reproduced on to a small screen printing process used to print on new and vintage fabrics or recycled garments. This can be used as a way to embellish plain fabrics to create a unique and individual style of your own. The fabrics can then be used to create clothing, home wares such as cushions or craft items for your self and your home.

Bookings essential, these workshops require a minimum number of bookings to go ahead so spread the word!

Saturday 15th March, 1pm-4pm, $30.00

Session One - Drawing and designing motifs suitable for screen printing.
Create your own original designs or bring designs to adapt for printing such as gift card and wrapping paper designs. Please bring pencils for drawing, a sketchbook and designs
to adapt. Sketchbooks will be available for purchase at the workshop.

Saturday 22nd March, 1pm-4pm, $35.00 fabric included

Session Two - Screen printing the motifs and designs on to fabrics as
placement prints.

Bring along garments or fabric for printing or work with the fabric supplied. Fabric must be natural fibre, 100% cotton or 100% silk are best.

Saturday 29th March, 1-4pm, $30.00
